PULLMAN, Wash. – "Great beginnings” will be lauded in a free, public concert by the Washington State University Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Bryan Hall Theatre. Schubert’s "Unfinished Symphony” and Wagner’s prelude to the opera "Die Meistersinger” will open and close the program. In between, student conductor Chelsea Gallo (at the beginning of her career) will conduct Erich Korngold’s "Theme and Variations.” And the beginning of a new composition, "Symph” by WSU alumnus Austin Schlichting, will be premiered.
