Juilliard grad to perform Bach

Summer Keyboard Explorations to feature pianist Brian Lee

Brian LeePULLMAN, Wash. – Brian Lee, a graduate of The Juilliard School and current faculty member at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, will be featured at Washington State University’s Summer Keyboard Explorations, a camp for junior high and high school pianists, at 7:30 p.m. on June 25 at the Kimbrough Concert Hall.
 
Lee will perform works by Bach, including transcriptions of Bach by Siloti and Busoni, as well as works by Mozart, Phemister, and Debussy. The evening will conclude with Franz Liszt’s Les jeux d’eau ŕ la villa d’Este. The concert is free and open to the public.
 
Known for his musical insight, beautiful tone, and technical command, Lee performs actively as soloist, collaborative artist, and church musician. Highlights from this past year include a solo recital at the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, and a duo performance at the Schubertiade 2012, where both performances were broadcast and streamed live on 98.7 WFMT-radio/online.
 
Dr. Lee has been soloist with several orchestras in the Midwest, and has also given premieres of works by American composers, including Gunther Schuller, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and Alex Freeman.
