PULLMAN, Wash.  – Links Magazine has ranked Washington State University’s Palouse Ridge Golf Club the second best collegiate golf course in America.

The golfing magazine’s Top Ten College Courses list places the Palouse Ridge Course behind only The Course at Yale, Yale University, which it deems the nation’s top collegiate course.

Completed in 2008, the par 72, John Harbottle-designed Palouse Ridge course has won accolades from golf media nationwide. It was named second "Best New Course" by both Golf Digest and Golfweek magazines in 2009. Both praised the use of the existing landscape to create an "old school, glitz free" playing experience.

Palouse Ridge was one of only two PAC-12 university courses named in the Links Magazine list. Stanford Golf Course, Stanford University, was selected as the nation’s fifth best collegiate course.
