Eubanks, McCann elected to ASWSUTC leadership

RICHLAND, Wash. - Washington State University Tri-Cities students Amber Eubanks and Nathaniel McCann are the newly elected president and vice president of the 2012-2013 Associated Students of Washington State University Tri-Cities (ASWSUTC).
 
Eubanks is a senior from Kennewick majoring in general biological sciences for a pre-pharmacy requisite. McCann is a junior from Yakima pre-majoring in management and operations.
 
Running unopposed, Eubanks and McCann collected 98 percent of the vote. ASWSUTC officials confirmed that more than 10 percent of WSU Tri-Cities undergraduate and graduate students cast ballots. WSU Tri-Cities has about 1,500 students.
 
Eubanks, who is ASWSUTC president for 2011-2012, will retain her office and duties. McCann, who serves as the ASWSUTC Senate’s speaker pro-tempore, will bring his perspective on the executive and legislative branches into his new role.
 
WSU Tri-Cities students who were elected to positions as senators-at-large are: Courtnee Grego, Francisco "Javier” Soto, Calvin Anderson, Daniel Tompkins, Isaac Carroll, Thomas Batey, Maximilian VonderMehden and Jessica Delatorre.
 
WSU Tri-Cities is located along the scenic Columbia River in Richland, Wash.
