New members sought for Work Life Advisory Committee
Tuesday, Mar. 6, 2012
PULLMAN, Wash. – Staff, faculty and students are invited to help promote personal/professional balance at Washington State University by volunteering for the Work Life Advisory Committee.
Benefits include improving your life and the lives of those around you, networking with committee members at WSU locations statewide and adding a volunteer/service component to your resume (employers seek people with outreach and coordination skills).
The group hosts brown-bag lunch presentations about diverse topics, such as reducing stress and staying active, and surveys students and employees about ways to improve work/life. Members volunteer across WSU campuses via attending monthly meetings and participating in activities as time allows.
Applications are available here. Those interested in volunteering are welcome at the next meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in Lighty 403.
