Engagement, service learning awards to be presented April 18

PULLMAN, Wash. – Nominations of those committed to engagement and service learning are being sought for the annual Excellence in Civic Engagement awards presented by the Center for Civic Engagement at Washington State University. The awards honor a student, student group, instructor, community partner and/or campus partner.
Eligible nominees are those who have served in the community during the 2011-12 academic year, demonstrating a commitment to the vision of the CCE - "WSU students and graduates are catalysts for creating vibrant, just and sustainable communities" – and its values - community, awareness, respect and equity (CARE).
Nomination forms and more information are available here. The deadline for nomination submission is 5 p.m. Friday, March 23, in CUB L48.
The 2012 Excellence in Civic Engagement award winners will be recognized during the CCE's Cougs Care event on April 18, part of Civic Engagement Week, April 16-22.
