Sabourin presented his new pedagogical jazz band composition, “Mondo Burrito,” written for developing groups.
“Stan is a talented guy and it is great to see him receive this well-deserved honor," said Greg Yasinitsky, WSU Regents professor and coordinator of jazz studies. "I am proud of our excellent music students at WSU. A number of them have done well at the Wiley exposition over the years.”
Sabourin studies composition with Yasinitsky and saxophone with instructor Dave Hagelganz.
The Wiley exposition provides an opportunity for graduate and professional students to present their research or scholarship to faculty, peers and the public.
