The College of Liberal Arts held its 2010 awards ceremony on April 21, recognizing faculty and staff with the following awards:

Mary Collins, director, Museum of Anthropology, Administrative Professional Excellence Award.

Amy Wharton, professor of sociology, WSU Vancouver, Excellence in Institutional Service.

Eugene A. Rosa, professor of sociology, Excellence in Professional Service.

Andrew Appleton, professor of political science, Outstanding Achievement in International Teaching, Research/Creative Activities, and/or Service.

Jeffrey Savage, assistant professor of music, and Julie Kmec, associate professor of sociology, Early Achievement in Scholarship.

Monica Kirkpatrick Johnson, associate professor of sociology, Mid-Career Achievement in Scholarship.

Swindell receives her award from Doug Epperson,
CLA dean.

Samantha Swindell, clinical associate professor of psychology, Excellence in Teaching by a Clinical Faculty Member or Instructor.

Martha Cottam, professor of political science, Excellence in Graduate Teaching and Mentoring.

Myers receives his award from Marty Mullen.

Michael Myers, professor of philosophy, William F. Mullen Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

Laurie Mercier, professor of history, WSU Vancouver, Claudius O. & Mary W. Johnson Distinguished Professorship in History.
