VANCOUVER - Watch out! The ‘Crimson Bullet Mark II’ could soon be taking over the streets of Vancouver.

A team of WSU students, named Kryptonite, built a vehicle that raced last weekend in the 2010 ASME Human Powered Vehicle Competition. The event is hosted by the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers in Northridge, Calif.

The goal of the competition is to “to demonstrate the application of sound engineering design principles in the development of sustainable and practical transportation alternatives.”

Senior mechanical engineering major Tim Snyder said the vehicle is using a new system of turning and balance, while remaining durable through its steel structure.
