Corinne E. Gaddis

Once a shy, quiet student, Corinne Gaddis doesn’t think twice about telling a WSU football player what needs to be done and how to do it while working as a student athletic trainer for the team. Challenging herself to be the best student that she can, Gaddis has embraced her undergraduate experience.

Not only has she gained over 1,500 hours of clinical experience, she has completed her endorsement for health and fitness, preparing her way for a master in teaching (MIT). Gaddis has found her calling of teaching while working with high-school students in a second-year rotation and was accepted into the WSU MIT program this summer.

As an exceptional student, Gaddis works hard to mentor the younger students and instill in them the same passion she possesses for the profession of athletic training. Going above and beyond normal student expectations, Gaddis takes her role as a mentor seriously and is able to relate to all types of students and athletes.

Gaddis has been involved in the athletic training education program for the past three years and was hired by WSU Athletics to continue her work with the WSU football team next fall while working on her MIT degree.

As the treasurer of the WSU Athletic Training Club, she manages the club’s finances and fundraising endeavors.

Just by being herself, Gaddis will leave a lasting legacy with the WSU College of Education and Athletic Training Education Program.
