Advertising Rates and Policies

Following is an outline of WSU News's online advertising rates and policies.
Circulation/Visitors Statistics

The WSU News website draws about 57,000 visits a month, with 65% of that traffic coming from returning readers. WSU News serves as the university's news center, guiding people to news from sources universitywide.

In a random survey of approximately 1,300 employees, conducted in 2010, WSU News was rated the #1 source for university news.

E-Newsletter

To keep the WSU community informed and to guide readers to articles on its website, WSU News sends out an e-newsletter (right) with the day's headlines to approximately 8,100 people - comprised primarily of faculty, staff and grad students, as well as subscribers.

The e-newsletter is distributed on a daily basis (M-F) during the regular academic year. During the summer semester and scheduled breaks, it is usually distributed twice per week.

Policies/Restrictions

WSU News reserves the right to limit or decline ads based on content, design and the editorial space. WSU News reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement, for any reason, including advertisements that advocate illegal actions, promote activities that are detrimental or damaging to the image of WSU or that may be construed as defamatory, invasive of privacy, fraudulent or obscene.
